Pecorino Romano Pesto

  • 2 cups packed fresh basil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ¼ cup pine nuts or walnuts
  • 2/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ Locatelli Pecorino Romano
  • Salt & pepper to taste


  • Place basil, garlic, and nuts in a food processor and pulse until coarsely chopped. Add the oil and process until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Place in a bowl and mix in the cheese.
  • Store in an air-tight container.
